ECPAT Korea Operates Media Environment Protection Center

ECPAT Korea runs a media environment protection center for children since January 2018. It was commissioned 

by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, which specifically designated ECPAT Korea to operate the center. 

The Media Environment Protection Center monitors the media environment to protection children and young 

people from harmful content. Monitoring targets encompass the Internet(media products using ICTs, advertisements harmful to juveniles in online newspapers and websites and smartphone applications related to sexual exploitation of children), game products and music files. The process of monitoring is described in the picture below.
