청소년과 함께 꿈꾸는 탁틴내일

"성매매 유입 아동·청소년 어떻게 보호할 것인가?"를 주제로

국회입법조사처 4층 대회의실에서 14:00~17:30 토론회를 진행하였습니다.

On July 26th Wednesday, 2017,

ECPAT Korea(Tacteennaeil) held a forum on the protection of child sexual exploitation victims with assembly members Nam In-soon of the Minjoo Party, Kim Sam-hwa of the People's Party and government officials from the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

The event took place at the council chamber at the National Assembly Research Service building at 14:00 - 17:30.

이번 토론회에서는

아동·청소년의 성보호에 관한 일부개정법률안 중 

대상 청소년 조항 삭제 및 피해 아동·청소년 보호를 위한 포괄적인 지원 시스템 구축방안을 중점적으로 다루었습니다.

The discussion centered around the removal of counterpart concept, which is applied to child sexual exploitation victims and the construction of comprehensive suport system for them.

탁틴내일과 성매매문제해결을위한전국연대, 십대여성인권센터가 공동주관한 이번 토론회에서는

이현숙대표님이 성착취 피해 청소년의 권리 증진을 위한 보호지원시스템 강화 방안에 대하여
첫 발제를 맡으셨습니다.

With the participation of a number of organizations dedicated to eradicating any form of sexual exploitation

such as the National Coalition Against Commercial Sex Acts and Stand Up Against Sex-Trafficking of Minors,

Executive Director of ECPAT Korea opened the forum, presenting the current national system for child sexual exploitation victims.

한국여성정책연구원 윤덕경 연구위원, 성매매문제해결을위한전국연대 정미례 공동대표, 한국여성인권진흥원 변정애 팀장님 등의

토론문 발표가 이어졌습니다.

Thereafter, a discussion session followed for approximately 90 minutes, in which panelists including

Yoon Deok-kyeong of the Korean Women's development Institute, Byeon Jeong-ae of the Women's Human Rights Institute of Korea and Jeong Mi-rye of National Coalition Against Commercial Sex Acts made statements.  

구시대의 패러다임으로는 성착취 피해 아동·청소년을 효과적으로 보호할 수 없다고

수년 간 문제제기를 해왔음에도 아직도 법개정이 이루어 지지 않았다고 정미례 대표님이 지적했습니다.

Ms Jeong, a National Coalition Against Commercial Sex Acts co-president, pointed out that

children cannot be adequately protected with such an old legal paradigm and

an effective law is still not in place in spite of years of persistent movements by civil society organizations.

아동·청소년이 제대로 보호받을 수 있도록 법률개정이 하루빨리 이루어지길 바랍니다.

ECPAT Korea hopes amendment for better protection of children comes in the near future.
